Here's a look at a 500 sq. ft. patio we just wrapped up using Champlain Grey Blue Techo-Bloc products. The goal was simple - give this backyard a solid, good-looking surface that actually holds up long-term. No shortcuts, no guesswork.
A job like this starts well before the first paver gets set. Our mini excavator came in to handle the dig-out and ground prep - that's the part most people don't see, but it's what determines whether a patio stays flat and level five years from now or starts shifting and settling. Getting the base right is everything.
Once the excavation was done and the base was properly compacted, the Techo-Bloc installation went in course by course. The Champlain Grey Blue color has that natural stone look without the maintenance headaches that come with real flagstone. It's a product that performs - freeze-thaw cycles, heavy foot traffic, the works.
What you end up with is a clean, structured outdoor space that actually works for how people live. Big enough to set up furniture, host a cookout, or just have somewhere comfortable to step outside. The border detail along the house edge and garden beds gives it a finished, intentional look that ties the whole yard together.
This is exactly the kind of work we do - combining excavating and hardscaping under one crew so nothing gets handed off or lost in translation. When the same team handles prep and install, the results speak for themselves.
